In a lot of countries they dont have vehicle tax, its charges are put onto the fuel and tolls.....as n the U.K We pay over the odds for everything, and I mean everything the TAX SHOULD BE ABOLISHED????

Good idea but it won't happpen as it is such a big source of revenue. They should also use the money to keep up the roads but only a fraction goes on that.

No. Because Law makers believe it's their god given right to spend as much of your money as they can. They will spend it on anything that will make you more dependant on them rather than fixing problems. In the case of gas, the higher the price, the greater the revenue they get. They want the price of gas to go higher
