Before 1913 we had no income taxes. Excise taxes paid for the entire operation of our government; then the talking heads we are stupid enough to send to washington decide to start trying to finance the rest of the world and it all goes downhill from there. As long as the fat cats use our tax dollars to feed and clothe the rest of the world we will be working two or more jobs to pay for it. |

Yes - we should pay taxes. If we didn't, then we wouldn't have any way to pay for Public Goods as many of these are subsidized or funded wholely by the Govt. (ie. our taxes).
If you want decent roads to drive on, decent schools, etc... then yes.
If you don't, then no
There has to be a system of accountability so that Governments actually do good things with our money. |

I don't mind paying a fair share of taxes. It goes to necessary services and stuff.
We enjoy highways, police and fire protection, schooling, many things that it would cost more than my taxes to provide for myself. |

yes becuz then people will ****** about the govt. not paying for certain things but the tax system needs to be reformed (thank goodness we got Obama)
I think that Social Security is a joke... I have a plan to stop it though!!
BAIL OUT all the old people who are gettin SS checks right now and start having everyone whos working and paying their frickin taxes.. have their SS go into a private SS account for them for when they get old and need it.... I mean you should get back however much you personally put in.. so if you didnt work much then you dont get much.. if you worked your ace off for 30-50 years then you should get that back to finally ENJOY what little life you have left...

If we don't, then I guess everybody would have to go to private schools and hire personal bodyguards. Plus, we would need to put about 10 locks on our doors and cars. And let AIG fails so the stock market could crash some more. And Banks along with our money start to disappear. At the end, we all go back to the Stone Age. Well that may be a little extreme but I think you get my point. |
