That is a matter for your state to decide. There are 50 of them, and it would depend on what state you buy from. |

That may (though I'm not sure) depend on the state you live in, but I am aware of no federal statute that would allow you to not pay taxes on an automobile. If the van is necessary to make up for some part of you disability (you won't actually be driving it, but you are in a wheelchair and need it to sit in the back when properly equipped, or you have no arm and the van can be easily converted to suit your needs for example) then there are certain government programs you can take advantage of that could greatly lessen the cost to you. Unfortunately, I can't give much more specific advice without knowing more specific information. Without knowing what type of disability you have or if the SSA pays you or someone else, I can't really make many suggestions... Sorry about that...
I am a disabled veteran. Due to that fact, my income is non taxable (all of it comes from the V.A.) and I am able to get certain tax breaks on many other things and in many other ways, and much of that is on the federal level. On top of that, there are many states that offer special tax breaks... Like in Texas I don't have to pay any property taxes... |

It doesn't matter who you are, how old you are, or your physical well being is;you pay sales tax at the registration office as well as the registration fees.

Im sorry to say this, but you still have to pay taxes. State Taxes are State Taxes.... When buying a vehicle or anything of that matter, they enter ur SSN.... its all about ur credit... As far as taxes go, thats far beond the dealer. Contact ur local legislator for more info... |

Talk to your dealer, there are often breaks given, but I don't know of any in taxes. The state you live in could make a difference... |

Sales taxes are based on the state/locality in which you purchase the vehicle. Sales tax laws and exclusions vary extensively throughout the USA.
The dealer will know. Ask the dealer. |
