Does a paycheck stub show you how much income taxes you'll get back?

not at all. Taxes are individual.

it shows how much taxes were taken out.. if you are one who doesnt make enough to have anything taken then you will get everything back.. if not, then no it doesnt. It depends on how much you make and how you itemize.

No. But if you can estimate how much you are going to make this year, and how much you will have paid in taxes, then the IRS site could probably tell you how much you will owe, and then you can subtract to see what you'll get back. And the paycheck stub provides valuable information to make these estimates.

P.S. If you ask a question like: "I expect to make $20,000 this year and they take out $45 per week in taxes, how much refund can I expect..." I'm sure someone will estimate your refund.

No, it will be a surprise whether you get money back or a shock if you owe money.

The check stub itself does not show what you'll get back, but you can use the last paystub of this year...(decembers), and figure it up if you have a form.
