Depends on where you live, band A is £84 per month here in Worcester but £91 per month in Bristol.

Check on your councils website.

hope this helps

if you google council tax bands u will get the governement website for it and can enter ur postcode. When we were in band B it was £90 per mth. it doesnt matter how many people are in the house tho. we are only 2 at the moment and are in band E £176 per mth - its an effing joke.

The size of the family does not matter as long as there is more than one person in the household. A single person gets a 25% ddiscount. Band A is the lowest of the property tax bands How much the council tax is will vary from one council to another. The local council collects the tax on behalf of itself, the County Council, the Fire Brigade and the Police. Each of these estimates it's own requirements and every town or local authority will have a different tax amount. You will have to find out the actual amount for your area from the local council..There is probably a web site you can refer to. If you are a low income family in receipt of benefits, you will possibly qualify for a discount. You will have to apply to the local council to claim for this.If you already get housing benefit you would usually get council tax relief as well.

every area is different,
each council has its own band

I pay £60 month for a tiny 1 bed flat in somerset,
and we dont get much of a service for that.

if you live alone there is a reduction but its nt much.

It depends where you stay. I am band A in Edinburgh and Im £76 a month. If you go on your local councils website they should have the amounts listed.

RIGGS
to my reckoning you will be looking at a £1,000 per annum?

It depends where you live. I live in Essex and, in this area, Band A is about £900.

depends where you live as each council has a different costs and it will depend on the income to the house of the 3 of you as to whether there might be a chance of a discount for a low income family.

best thing to do is head for your local councils website and check the costs and benefit calculator on the site, also don't forget tax credits to help you along.
