A rule of thumb is 33%. |

Tax withholdings are not based on your hourly wage. They are based on your yearly income and what you claim on your W-4 (i.e. single, married, number of dependents etc). Have you filled out a W-4 yet for your employer? They can tell you once they get that, what your takehome pay will be. |

That depends upon how many hours you work per pay period, your filing status, number of withholding exemptions, other income, deductions, etc. There is no set tax amount expressed as a percentage of an hourly wage. |

It totally depends on what you filed on your tax forms. But the more you make the more they take. |

depends. i get taxed WAY less than my friend. i make $8 an hour and she gets like 6.75. she works more and her paycheck goes from like 550 down to like 320 from taxes. i get about 200 and it goes down to like 175. its just one of those things. |

how much taxes that is taken out of your pay depends on how many dependents you are claiming on your W-4 and if you are married or single, the highest that is taken out is if you claim single with 0 dependents, then married with 0, then gets less with each dependent
your employer should have given you a new W-4 to fill out for the 2007, they are due by 15 Feb, well may thats just my employer since im claming tax exempt. |

It depends on what state you are in some have a state tax also. if you are single with no dependents you can count on 3.80 per hour without state tax with 40 work week yea it sucks. |

depends on what state you live in but trust me, with the liberals in power it will DEFINITELY be going up. |

depends on what you claim...if you claim zero, very little is taken out, but you'll probably owe when its tax time...but not much. |

depends on how much you worked over the year...hourly wage has nothing to do with it |
