You can, but you both have to sign it if it's a joint return.

Go to where he worked, or if he gave them correct info they will arrive at the address he gave them.

Do you file separately or together? If you file separately, I would file an extension on his behalf, after contacting H & R Block. They are very friendly and will answer this question for you over the phone. Keep your chin up!

you're going to have to, because he can't do it....military wives here at home while husbands are gone, do it all the time...

If your filing jointly yes. Like the previous answer he will still have to sign it. Or now I am not sure about this one but could be something to look into. Power of attorney might mean you would not have to have him sign.

You can do it but he still has to sign it.

You can e-file a joint return without any signatures if you use one of the commercial tax prep software packages such as Tax Cut or Turbo Tax. To be safe, you should get a signed statement from him authorizing you to do that.

If you file a paper return, you'll have to get the return to him for his signature.

Or you can get a Power of Attorney from him authorizing you to both prepare and sign his return.

You should call a broker and ask what you need to take or do to be able to file his W2.
