You can file a paper return starting today once you get all of your documents (W-2s, etc.) together.
The IRS has not yet announced the start of the e-filing season yet but it is normally around the middle of the month. However if your return includes one of several forms affected by the AMT patch you may have to wait until Feb 15th to e-file. |

If you've gotten all your documents (W2s, 1099s, bank statements, etc.), you can do it now. |

You can file now by mail if you have all of your tax documents. Efiles aren't accepted until 1/14. And if you use one of these forms
• Form 8863, Education Credits.
• Form 5695, Residential Energy Credits.
• Form 1040A's Schedule 2, Child and Dependent Care Expenses for Form 1040A Filers.
• Form 8396, Mortgage Interest Credit and
• Form 8859, District of Columbia First-Time Homebuyer Credit.
you'll have to wait until 2/11 to file. |

As soon as you get your w-2 from work and all your tax deductible receipts together. Law says your employers have to get the w-2 out to you no later than Jan. 31. |

You can file as soon as you have all your documents. If you are expecting a refund you will not get it until middle of febuary or torwards the end of febuary because of congress . |

Ms. Angel..

Once you have a your w-2's, 1099 etc you can file your return, it doesn't mean IRS will start processing it right away. IRS when given the go ahead will start processing return by IRS received date. |

At a minimum, U need your W-2s, NOT your last paystub, which will be sometime before Jan 31. |

January 1 - April 15, 2008
or
you have until April 15, 2011 to file and receive a refund if one is owed to you. |
