Does anyone know where I can pick up tax forms and instruction booklets besides the internet?
I can't seem to find them anywhere (i.e. Post Offices)

Rob
Post Office, Library's, Local Walk in Offices of the IRS, Colleges usually also have them available.

Your local public library should have them and I've also seen them at College.

I always get my tax forms and instruction booklets at a public library. You might want to call them first to make sure they haven't ran out of the forms. They will be in the lobby for easy pickup and selection.

Many post offices just have the very basic forms. Major ones might have somewhat more. Public libraries usually have a wide variety, and will often print copy for you of ones they don't have.

If you stop at your local IRS office, or call them, they can provide you with just about any form or booklet you need.

In VA, they are found in every public library--and are easy to find, usually in the front.

you may call the irs at 1-800-tax-form or the website at www.irs.com.for any instruction booklets also if you go to a hr block office when they are not real busy, ask politely and wait patiently i am sure that they will be very accomodative to your needs. they have the access to print any and all tax forms for any and all open tax years. i know it is very hard to be rude or abrupt with someone who is polite and kind and considerate of someone's time and energy. ( i have done this for many non paying clients myself with no charge but a smile and thank you.)

I'm surprised the post offices you have visited don't have the forms. Usually, they have them. Have you been to more than one? From my experience, the bigger ones will have more selection, but they typically only have the most common forms and instruction books.

I've had to go directly to an IRS location to get what I needed in certain situations. Like estate taxes, etc.
