It's a scam. You pay the $250 and there will be another fee. If you're stupid enough to pay that one, there will be another one, and another, until you finally understand that you're being played.

Google "lottery scams", "bank scams", and "Nigerian scams" for more information.

Joslyn
NO!!!!!!! It's not genuine.

Then it's a scam. And there is no prize. This is a very common scam over the last couple years.

If it was legit, they could take any taxes or other expenses out of your prize and send you the rest.

no it is not genuine. they would not offer prizes like this, they would not be in dollars and the name of the Bank is HBOS (Halifax Bank of Scotland). dont send them anything.

muunkyboy
This is almost certainly spam and an attempt to get your bank details! Send them to me instead, along with 10 examples of your signature, your mothers maiden name and a sample of your DNA.

:O)

If you actually wan a prize then they would issue the funds to you without any payments. the only thing they may do is withhold a taxation amount (as mandated by local laws).

Never ever pay money to "claim a prize". These are ALL SCAMS... Don't lose your hard earned money.

This is a scam. It should never cost you anything to claim a prize (with the exception of taxes). Ignore that email.

don't go for it is fake

Andrew
It depends. But, be careful, it may be a trick. If you have to transfer some money to claim the prize, check it to the web site first. Or you can ask the customer service.
