:@:@ pissed off contact email?
does anyone know where i can write to or email
to complain about the ema system
i dont qualify because my dad earns more but not by that much
and it seems so ridiculous because he has 3 children and people who earn just a bit less who have one child get it when technically my dad earns less :'(
why should some students be rewarded for staying in education and others not too :@:@ piss take
thanksxxx
also u know if you go over 30000 your tax goes up to 40% so you literally earn less
xx

EMAs are designed to encourage children from poor families in the UK to stay in full-time education beyond the age of 16. Many poor 16-year olds drop out of school at 16 because they are under pressure to get a job and start earning money. So this EMA scheme helps them to stay in education and get more qualifications, so they can get a better job in future than if they had dropped out at 16.

I don't think they have an e-mail or even a street address, I've looked everywhere because I to want to complain because of my age. Instead I am going to ring up, again, on Monday and see if I can get through to someone more senior or at least find out where to put my complaints in writing to. If I find out anything I will edit my answer!

I suspect someone just found out that they aren't getting much in the way of financial aid. The FASFA forms do take into account the number of family members, but not to the same degree the poster thinks they should.

Our poster also has no idea how the tax system works. yes, a single person with taxable income of $35000 is in the 25% tax bracket, but that is only on the income above the threshold. The 25% doesn't apply to *all* of their taxable income, just the amount above $31K. (And their math is off. The tax jumped from 15 to 25% on each additional dollar or 67%, not 40%)

¡Yanice!
I know it's totally unfair i'm not entitled to get it but then some people whos parents can't be arsed to work get and were all having to pay for their living how is that fair. My parents arn't going to give me £30 a week and £200 bonuses. If one person gets it then everybody should!

No idea....

Ms. Angel..
