Okay so I took a private in home care job in February. I've just been being paid in personal checks however, not under the table as I and my employer obviously will declare the wages. I don't know if this means I am not eligible though. The woman I cared for got hurt, is in rehab as far as I know but I have not gotten an update in 2 weeks!!!! The daughter who pays me is unreachable... this couldn't have happened at a worse time. Our savings have been drained from our dear sick puppy =( The restaurant my boyfriend manages is going under and he has not been paid in over a month. I am looking for another job certainly but if I am eligible that would be something I would have to look into. Help?
