andy s | Formular for net gross and vat? |
|
|

Perkins
 |
net x 0.175 = VAT
net x 1.175 = gross |
|

geegee
|
Do you mean to work out 17.5 % vat
If you have the net - then multiply by 17.5 and divide by 100 that is the vat
If you have the gross then divide by 117.5 and multiply by 100 and that is the vat, |
|

to find out the price without vat =cell reference / 1.175
so if you want to find out what the contents of cel A1 are without vat you would enter into a new cell:
=A1/1.175 |
|

curious man..
|
VAT = Net*117.5%
Gross = Net + VAT |

what do u mean? explain a bit....how do u work out tax? how do u work out gross to net? what EXACTLY do u need to kno?!!!!! |
|

Flick W
 |
Quick way:
Net (VAT exclusive) figure x 1.175 = Gross (VAT inclusive) figure.
Gross (VAT inclusive) figure x 7/47 = VAT
Gross (VAT inclusive) figure x 40/47 = Net (VAT exclusive) figure
Remember that this only works if the item is standard rated (VAT of 17.5%). Some items will have VAT of 5%, and some 0%. |

Assuming you're dealing with 17.5% VAT (rather than, say 8% VAT on fuel)
If you have net, multiply by 1.175 to get gross, or by 0.175 to get VAT.
If you have gross, multiply by 1/1.175 to get net, or by 0.175/1.175 to get VAT.
If you have VAT amount, multiply by 1/0.175 to get net, or by 1.175/0.175 to get gross. |
