No.
Get more info here:

The only reason to file would be to get a refund of any taxes that were withheld. |
|

Heck no, you don't ever have to file because you are so special |

Is there any record that you made that money? If not then no you dont need to file; but even with a record; paper trail, you dont need to file. It depends on your state, but here in Ohio I think if you make less than around $5,000 then you don't need to file. |
|

Mary

As in you worked "under the table"(off the books, got paid in cash or personal checking account)...then no you don't have to file. |

Misty gave you a good answer ... but just in case, you can always call 1-800-829-1040 Someone will answer your questions 24/7.
You don't have to give them your name or anything ... it's strictly anonymous.
I called to find out for you ... but they wanted more info, like any interest income you earned etc. If your parents claim U on their taxes. and such, like that.
If what you earned was cash and there's no paper trail, personally I woudn't file. But find out first if you would get tax credits and other benefits if you did.
Good luck with that ... taxes R a ****** and the longer U can put off doing them the better! Don't worry they'll get plenty from you once U start working full time when U graduate!
Good Luck 2 U!! |

Who knows

How did you make the $1500? If it was at a job then yes, you have to file because your employer will report your earnings to the IRS. If you made the $1500 doing something like babysitting, then technically you don't have to file (even though the IRS would still like you to). |
|

Jo
|
I don't think so, you can call a local place to ask. |
