HELP! am i being cheated on my paycheck?
hi. i am a parttime-server working at a restaurant 3 to 4 shifts per week. i worked for a month now and got my first paycheck. it was in form of a bank check and not no computer printed stuff with the tax, number of hours, wage type of information. the owners here are late with the paychecks as well. also they do not use a proper timecard from the POS machine but rather have it written on a calandar. What should i demand to my employer so i know what i;m talking about, just to make sure everything is legal. also, how are the tips supposed to be taxed? do they count towards your wage? please help me expieranced advisors. im just a college student with debt.
