My daughter in law got hers last Friday.
They go by the last two digits in your SSN.
They did decide to start mailing them a little early.
Here's the irs site that will tell you when you will get yours.

They are bluffing. They are not coming out till tomorrow. People will begin getting them by direct deposit tomorrow and they will begin receiving them in the mail next week.

they are supposed to go out earlier, but I don't think any actually have
go to irs.gov if you haven't already done so they go by your household what you claimed and you s.s. number the lower the last two digits the sooner you'll get it! |

I think it is possible that they have started the direct deposit process and people can see from their online banking that they have the rebate coming in on Monday. I haven't actually spoken with someone who already has their money. |

In my world there has not yet been a Friday May 25. Nevertheless, IRS rebate checks don't begin to go out until May 2, 2008. |

They have lots of helpful information there and they can tell you approximately how much you will get.
People who file a return after April 15 will receive their economic stimulus payment, but probably about two weeks later than the schedule shows. A return must be filed by October 15 in order to receive a stimulus payment this year. See the online calculator for an estimate of the amount you will receive.
A small percentage of tax returns will require additional time to process and to compute a stimulus payment amount. For these returns, stimulus payments may not be issued in accordance with the schedule above, even if the tax return was processed by April 15.

What is it with the rebate checks ? Or stimulus checks, be it as it may. For those who keep asking this day in and day out question. If one knows that they are going to receive it shortly thereafter, why are you people continuing to ask ? It's pretty sad that the lot of you are depending on this piece of cash.
" What if there wasn't one" ? All I see from this, is intentional greed to pay off bills that shouldn't have accumulated in the first place. Do you think that I actually care that I get a thumbs down for this answer ? I'm just sick of seeing this question asked so many times a day, every day. |
