Got my letter on Wed the 14th stating check would arrive by May 16th. As of today the 16th, No check.

thanks matt for once again giving incorrect information and getting people confused...they started mailing the paper check out on the 9th.....it says on the website to wait two weeks from the day it says you will recive it....it could be slow because of the mail.....good luck and hope you get it soon i will be waiting till june for mine :-) |

My last are 04, and The approval letter I got few days ago said I should get my check by the 16th. No check today so I called the IRS weaved thru the prompts and got I person on the line. After looking up my account she said my check was being mailed today, I asked how she knew she replied "because that's what your code tells me". I happen to be a letter carrier and I have delivered 4 checks in the past week and mind you some of those may have been tax refunds. I don't think they have hit the mail stream yet, |

In my mind you would have been received yours (with the delay of 2 weeks if you haven't receive it) but our Mail Lady was delivering them a week ago. |

They started mailing out checks for SSN's ending with 00-09 on May 9th, and are FINISHING mailing them out today, May 16. So, yours might be mailed out today, in which case you should give it a few days before you get worried.
My last 2 digits are 11, and I was hoping that the whole schedule was upped a week, so that MINE would be mailed out today, but unfortunately, they just started earlier, but took their time and stayed on schedule with the rest of them...I guess I still have to wait until after the 23rd!

Checks are being printed and mailed from Kansas City, Missouri. I live in Missouri, my social ends in 02, I should have had mine well before today, if they truly mailed them out on the 9th. I have not gotten it yet. My letter for the amount I will receive came from Kansas City and was mailed on the 12th, I received it on the 13th. I would love to know where they are, I have yet to hear of anyone at all receiving a paper check. The letter i received stated I would receive my stimulus by 5/16/08, the "wheres my payment" link at IRS.gov says my check will be issued on the 16th. Its all hogwash, they have no idea, its just the waiting game. Like we should expect any less, I need that money just as bad as everyone else, stupid jerks they are! Does anyone know where the real press release is for the updated payment schedule? I don't think there is one, the IRS schedule is the same as its been since they first released dates.
I always watch and read all of the news on yahoo, there was an article about the V.P. touring the I.R.S. check printing facility in Kansas City, Missouri. Photos of them watching the printing machines pop out addressed checks, this article was on Monday. It said that's where they were ALL coming from. |

We live in North Carolina and my husbands ss# ends in 00 and all we have received is letter stating when 5/16/08 like everyone else. But just checked mail and nothing but bills :(
It all becoming a guessing game and IRS csr are just programmed to say what they see on the same website we look at.
If we owed money the IRS would have taken it the next day, but nooo they take ever to send you money...
update... husband received his check today in the mail... 5/19/08.. good luck to the rest you 00 - 35 |

I am 08 and I have yet to receive mine either. The letter I got stated I would receive by the 16th....who knows its the government you know how it goes...HURRY UP AND WAIT. |

You have a really good chance,for me and my fiance hers is 08 my is 65 and we both recieved a letter in the mail on the 12th that we should receive it bt the 16 th and no check wait it also said if its not here with in 6 wks then cal the irs and it broke it down as far as how much we where getting. so yes they sent the letters out and 6 wks will be about the last batch of paper checks.today is sat the 17 no check/shope it helps |

today is may 17th, my check according to the irs rep was mailed out on may 9th, i still have not gotten it. i asked my mail person if they were seeing a lot of checks and she said they saw about 100 last saturday but not one since then
so who knows

Hello. My last two digits are also 01, and I live in Ohio. I also recieved a letter on May 12th stating that we would recieve our check by May 16th, and we also have not recieved our check yet. It sounds like to me that they didn't get started mailing them out on the 9th like they originally stated. I would assume they mailed them out yesterday. Hopefully we will maybe get ours today, because the letter we recieved was postmarked on the 12th, and we recieved it the same day. |
