ok my last two are 07 and the website says my check will be mailed ON may 16th. Which has been saying that since the 3rd. of may. My notice which i got monday-may 12th. said i would get my check By may 16th. Well i just checked my mail and nothing but bills. So the notice i got wasnt accurate!! What iam thinking is that they mailed the notices out a week early! And hopefully my check was mailed today and hopefully monday or tuesday of next week is when i will see the actual check!! So much for going by what the notice says!!! Hmmm......... |

that's not true, the paper check started going out last week plenty of people have already received them, and I am in the same boat as you are,,, just waiting on the mailman to make me smile |

I'm in the same boat as you. I've heard that the last round of people who were supposed to be issued or sent out checks on Friday, May 9th (according to the tool/hotline), actually received their checks that next Monday, May 12. One can only guess at this point, whether or not we will see a check in the mail today or into next week.. I'll post an update once the mail comes today (around 10am). Wishing you the best...

I have to disagree. I received a letter on 5/12 stating I will have my paper check BY 5/16. Keeping my fingers crossed!! |

I got mine in the mail yeterday 5/15. my last 2 are 01. check this out though, for all the people in the 00-09 range, a friend of mine with the last 2 of 53 got hers in the mail before me on wed. what is with that? it was the check because i looked at it and its printed right on the check. We are in Ohio.
The website told me that it would be issued ON the 16th. The letter said by the 16th. They send checks from the 9th and should have the rest of the 00-09 and some of the next group out today. I was told that they want everyone to have the rebates BY July 4th. hmmmmmm!!! |

I got the letter stating I'd receive it by the 16th; when the 16th came and went without a check, I called the IRS and they told me it was mailed the 16th. |

To add to sdart98's comment... My last 2 are 04 and my moms is 13.. and i looked both of ours up on irs.gov and it shows the same date for both of ours as well 5/16. I did get a letter I dont know if she has yet. But it threw me cause she should be in the 2nd batch I was wondering why we would have the same date. |

I know someone who's ss ends in 52 and already got their check in the mail! Mine ends in 11 and nothing!!! Can somebody please tell me whats going on?!?!?!

I finally spoke to a human at the IRS today and was told that they mail checks out today. Supposedly anyone who received the letter this week checks were mailed out today. But remember this is the goverment we are talking about. So who knows. I was told i should receive mine Monday or tuesday.

I just received mine in the mail and it was post dated fot the 16th. So they were mailed on that day. And it was for the correct amount...... :) |

Mine was also slated to be sent out on 5/16, just checked the mail and it isn't there. Is anyone else doubtful that they will actually receive a check? It just seems to good to be true. I know many people here have received theirs but about the same percentage haven't. |

my mail comes at 2:30 and I am so hoping that check is in there. The notice we got monday said BY THE 16th.
And yes other people got their checks starting last week. We know of 2 people with ss# ending in 08 and 26 or 24, they already got theirs. My husbands ends in 00. so they really are not going out by ss#. If they think they are someone needs to repeat kindergarten... :) |

My cousin's last two digits SS# 95. She filed w/Liberty tax and had fees deducted. Married, Joint, 5 Exemptions. Lives in PA. She received her second notice stating that she would recieve her check by or on May 23rd.
I checked the IRS "Where's My Stimulus" site for her this morning and I can verify it was updated with the same information.
I don't understand??? Mine SS# is in the range of 64-75 and I get nothing. I live in MD, Head of Household, 5 Exemptions. Filed via HR Block Tax Cut! Ugh... |

My last 2 are 57. Letter states check should be recd. by 5/16. website states issued on 5/16. (I am waiting on a paper check) No check recd. yesterday. I spoke to 2 different IRS reps and one said that i should have it by the 16th, and the other told me that it wouldn't go out until the 16th- but he also stated that if a check or direct deposit went out early the system wouldn't reflect it, it would still show the original date on the website. |

I called IRS and the person told me that checks are mailed once a week, on Fridays.
My # is 33 and I can't get any info at all on the irs site or the automated phone rebate system.
It good news to hear that someone with the last two ss #'s 57 received a letter stating that it was going out on the 16th of May. Maybe they are mailing them ahead of schedule.
But it looks as if IRS is sending them randomly instead of following their mailing schedule. Could it be that they are going on the type of form that was sent it for your federal taxes. Maybe they are doing the 1040ez's first, no matter what your last 2 numbers are.
Why should someone with 57 get it before someone with 01 or other lower numbers, mine included.
To the person with # 57, when did you start getting info on the irs Where's My Payment site? Was it a week before? |

Here is the issue. If you are actually getting a physical check they were just mailed today (This being the first day of the actual mailings) so unfortunately nobody will be able to give you a heads up yet.
Those who have "auto deposit" have started to receive their refund. I got mine a week ago, exactly on the day of the original schedule. |
