acfisher6971 | Has anyone used H&R Block TaxCut Simple Pay Option? |
What was the turn around time the day the IRS says they sent the direct deposit until your bank shows the deposit? |

First, let me state that I myself am frustrated. The IRS states that my check has already been deposited on January 25, 2008. For those of you that are not aware, in previous years, H&R Blocks Simple Pay was done through HSBC. I've been using TaxCut for 5 years now and never had this problem. However, now that HRBB is the one handling Simple Pay this year, there is now a problem. I contacted TaxCut and they stated that once the IRS deposits the check with them, it can take anywhere from 1-3 business days to receive your refund; Wednesday at the latest. After reading the long paper work that I printed when doing my taxes, it states in Paragraph 5 "HRBB cannot guarantee when any proceeds of a SP will be available to me." So now, it's a waiting process. The man I spoke with from TaxCut advised me that my money should be in my account no later than Wednesday. If it's not in there by then, I'm going to do as the IRS website stated and contact them. |

I have used H&R Block Taxcut to file my taxes the past 5 years and have always had a positive experience just make sure you go through the irs.gov to get to H&R because if you made under 56,000 you can file with them for free and as far as the length of time about 10 days for direct deposit. I hope this info is helpful. |

I did use it this year and have before too.My refund was supposed to be deposited today according to IRS but have not seen it as of yet.I have read on other questions that it's to do with H&R Block as to why it hasn't.I guess now it's just time to sit and wait.Every other year I have had good luck with HR though. My cousin actually works at my bank and she was telling me it could post tonight at midnight.....we will see. |

If you use the simple pay option and they get there fee from your refund then the check will go to HR blocks bank and from them they will send you your refund usually taking 2or 3 days later |

I can definitely understand every ones frustration, especially my own. Because at the time i was doing my taxes i had the 14.95 to pay for the fee but a coworker was walking me through it and she advised me to have them take it out of my check. she stated that she does it that way every year and never had a problem, they say to always follow your first mind which i should of paid the fee up front and i wouldn't have to be sittin around waiting and worrying myself wondering if everything ok with my money! |

I have been using TaxCut for 5 years and have never had a delay until now. According to the IRS, my deposit was set to hit my account on Friday, Jan. 25. I have not yet received my deposit. After numerous attempts to contact HR Block, finally I was told that there is a delay of 1-3 business days. This was really frustrating. I would think twice about using HR again next year! |

I've used H&R Block for 8yrs, no more. I allways had paid the $15-$19 upfront, figured this year I would try this (extreme lack of funds at time). I swear to %od I will never, under cercimstances, ever use there services in the future. All I want to know is if they have the funds, and WHEN they will be in my account. I refuse to deal with these people agian , and will gladly join in any class action lawsuit over this issue. |

I am actually on the phone now, trying to figure out if I made some error with my routing numbers and account number because the IRS said deposit was made Jan 25th, 2007. except There isn't anything in my net spend account.
So then I call HR Block, and they told me that because they no longer go through HSBC (the bank who had did the direct depositing). they do it through there own HR block bank. and it takes an additional 2-3 days ( business days that is M-F) So if it was made on friday. it wont be available for example me. until probably the 30th.
A little annoying non the less, because i have A LOT of bills I promised to pay on friday. and now I don't have it. so I hope I wont get screwed in the end thanks to this "new" change. funny because, another HR block representative told me it was a "glitch".
and really, it wasn't.
Otherwise, I still use them. |
