The reality is that every taxpayer's tax situation is unique. There's no possible way for ANY of the quickie calculators on the candidates' websites to take into consideration all of the nuances of the tax code just be punching in an income range. |

It apparently calculates what you'd save on taxes under Obama's plan, as compared to what you're paying now. So I guess the example of somebody saving zero means that they'd pay the same under Obama as they're currently paying under Bush. That's what he wants to do, right, create bigger savings for people in the lower middle classes? So somebody earning mid six figures *would* have a tax cut of zero compared to what they pay now. That's a good thing, in general. |
