EXCUSE ME, to those of you who are trying to "correct" the person asking the question, THEY KNOW HOW TO READ! The IRS put up a tool to see where your STIMULUS payment is...anyways....past that now...
No, it's not working for me either! I'm so glad to see others saying the same because I was fixing to call them! |

The do have a "Where's my Stimulus" link. It was just put on the IRS site today. I tried it also and it says that I must have made a mistake also. I didn't make a mistake. It just may not be ready to use yet. I remember back when I filed my taxes at the beginning of January the same thing happened with the "Where's my Refund" link for a couple of days. They must have put the link on there before it is actually ready to be used. |

My coworker just did hers and her number is #44, it is showing when she will recieve her payment. However, my number is #00 and it says I am making a mistake somehow. There is no consistancy with any of the information the IRS has put out. I don't know if I am getting a check or deposit, if it will go to the bank account used on my 2007 or 2006 return, if my student loans will deduct from my payment. It's just a wait and see game. I'm sick of it. This was supposed to be a somewhat happy occassion, receiving this money, but it just proved to be nothing but aggrevation. |

I was also getting the same message. I know how many exemptions I had - once again, the government is messed up. |

Judy is right, I too did the rebate part first, haha. Make sure you are using the stimulus calculator, also, make sure you ONLY use numbers, and no .,$ signs. It wont allow those. Good luck. Also the calculator can be a little mis-leading. I would not totally trust it. There is a cap on what we get back, but you can enter 20 kids and it gives you 300.00 for each haha! Good luck!!! |

I did the same thing and then double checked the rest of the information and it says that your rebate information won't be available through that tool until it is scheduled to be deposited/mailed. So my guess is that when the series of deposits/mailings that is scheduled before you is complete, you should be able to look it up using the rebate locator. |

I tried it too and it says the same thing. I know I put the right info in. It might not be working right since they just put it on there today..That is all I can think.. |

Check your tax form and look at the excemption line (i think its 6d)... more than likely you entered the wrong excemption. |

Where's my refund is for your refund, not your stimulus payment/rebate. |

If you mean the payment calculator site?? I used it this morning. Make sure you put in round #'s only- it gave me an error because I entered a decimal & 00 in my #s. Like if you are entering 50,000.00 you have to just use 50000 - it worked fine after I did that. |

The "Where's My Refund?" link on the IRS site is for your 2007 tax refund as it's always been, NOT the stimulus rebate. They don't have one up for the rebate yet. |
