no, but my bf let's his mom claim kids on her taxes occasionally, and he takes from her what he would have got had he claimed. this only works on years they both benefit....won't do it again though. last year he forgot to figure in state taxes and we ended up owing $350 on state instead of the $275 we would have got if HE claimed them. she made out like a bandit though. and we lost $625 |

because those things don't require proof..... its a flaw in the system... if they want to say they have 10 children when they really have 1, they can't say, "oh really, bring them in...." its just the way it works... so people take advantage... and it hasn't become a problem... cuz its their money, coming back to them... not the governments... who didn't make it on their own in the first place....

I would never try to claim something on my taxes if it was not true. You could go to jail for false information. Yeah people get away with it every year but if your name gets pulled then you will have to show proof of all your claims.
