You can look up your rebate status on the following website:
https://sa1.www4.irs.gov/irfof/IRServlet?app=IRACTC&selectLanguage=en
If the IRS website says that it can't find information about your rebate, then that means they haven't processed your rebate yet. Which would also mean that nobody stole your rebate check out of your mailbox. Then sit tight and check it again once a week if you want a heads up before it gets to your mailbox.
I don't know why thumbs are going down to everyone that has suggested that IRS tool. If I was concerned about mail disappearing from my mailbox (which I'm not), that website is the first place I would look. |

There is a precise schedule that they mail them out, I'm not sure what the site is but if you search for it there is a detailed list of when your check will be mailed, it goes by the last 2 digits of your social I know mine is a very high number and I am to receive my check 3rd week of June. |

The paper checks have just started to come out, and will continue through July. See http://www.irs.gov/irs/article/0,,id=180250,00.html for the schedule of when yours should arrive.
You can look at http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=181665,00.html to see if your payment has been scheduled yet. If it's more than a week out yet, then nothing will show for you on that site. |

It goes by your social security number you can go on the IRS website and find out when they're going to send yours out. My husband's is in the last batch to be sent. So we won't get ours until the end of June beginning of July. I'd go online and check. |
