Good News!! You can still file for those years. You can file for the previous 3 years max so your in good shape. My girlfriend was in this same situation and we filed for all of the years she missed (3) and got back some good money. You can talk to any tax preparer and they will be able to help you. You will need all of your w-2 forms from your employers for those previous years. Good luck and I hope you get a good refund! |

Go ahead & file for the last 3 years - it's better before you receive a letter from the IRS in your mailbox. If you don't owe there won't be any Interest or Penalties |

Just file them as if it were the year for which you are filing for. Use the 2004 forms and rules to file the '04 return, 05 for 05 and so on. Do not combine years oruse the wrong forms. The IRS handles each year on its own. If you owe money for any previous year, you will be subject to penalties and interest as well as the tax.
Good Luck |

IDo you have all of your w-2's, 1099's, etc. for the past three years? Are you sure that you have everything? If not, then I would go to a tax professional and have them get a transcript from the IRS. They can get it quicker. Then, the first return 2004 will be filed first, then 05,06 & 07. My guess though if you have not been getting threating letters from the IRS saying that they figured that you owed them money for 04, 05, and 06, then you are probably due a refund. But you have to file this year because if you were due a refund for 04, and you don't file, you will forfeit the refund. The IRS will only refund 3 years back. So file and be happy. |

You need to gather up all of your tax papers and get the returns filed. If you don't have them any more, you'll need to chase down duplicates.
If you got W-2's for your income, and you haven't heard from the IRS yet about not filing, chances are good that you actually had refunds coming for those years. If you file you can still get them for the last 3 years. For 2004 if you don't file by 4/15/08, you'll forfeit any refund. |

If you worked and had withholding, this is not a big deal for IRS. You should just prepare and file the returns. If you don't have your W-2s, call IRS at 800-829-1040 and request an information returns transcript. If you have a refund due on your 2004 return, it must be received by IRS (not just mailed) by April 15 or the statute of limitations for claiming a refund expires. |

File a tax return this year. File a 1040EZ and do NOT itemize. That's a sure way to get yourself audited. If you keep putting it off, they WILL find out. The IRS is EVERYWHERRREEEE.
There's no excuse for NOT filing your tax returns. Good grief, you can do it ONLINE for NOTHING, and all the programs available do the hard parts FOR you. |

If your pay was under the table cash, you're possibly safe because your boss will be heavily penalized by the IRS so he/she shouldn't rat you out. But don't count on it.
If there's a paper trail you're going to eventually get nailed in an audit with fines and interest. Talk to a CPA about this and follow the advice. |
