I swear this is so frustrating! The irs says one thing the news says another...as helpful as this money would be the government should not do this anymore, they are just sending us into a frenzy!!!

well it send the people who really need this money into a frenzy....they should have never said that the checks would come out a week early because when you have your mind set on a certain date and then to hear that it will be earlier than expected, you get your hopes up...then BAM! nothing! |

I agree! My husband and I fell into a tight spot and was hoping the money would be here today like they said...just checked our account and BAM! nothing. It's my daughter's birthday today and even though we've already given her everything as promised it would have been nice to take her out to dinner with all of her grandparents. Oh well. We'll see. The day isn't over...but we could surely use that money...my house payment and like 50 other bills came out of my account today. Good luck...speedy money wishes to you! |

The media isn't known for getting everything right. If they're different from what the IRS says, believe what the IRS says but be sure you understand what they are saying. When they say UP TO $600 or $1200, it means just that, UP TO, not that that's what everyone gets.
I agree this whole rebate thing isn't the best idea ever. |

It would sure be nice if the media didn't try to guess what the IRS was doing! Those news sources have so many different opinions about the stimulus rebate, I quit listening to them. |

The IRS is updating the above site information nightly. The link is supposed to let you know the day before the deposit is to be made. I just spent 36 minutes on hold waiting to speak to a rep and got my info for the DD to be done Friday the 9th, my last 2 social are 47 and i e-filed on the 12th of January so go figure. Anyway, keep checking the link and hopefully they DD will accellerate for us!! |

A frenzy? I'm not in a frenzy. It will come when it comes. Don't spend money before you have it.
The IRS is behind...so what! If more people would even bother to READ everything, they would have also seen this on the IRS website:
"Please allow 2 weeks from the date shown on the schedule to receive your payment."
Getting your hopes up and going into a frenzy are 2 different things. If you qualify, you will get it when you get it. Going into a frenzy is a waste of time and won't make it show up any sooner. People should be grateful for this. |

Yes you are right about that. Not only is it taking forever to recieve it for some people, gas and food prices are on the rise so it won't help the economy one bit. This is just a ploy to get us to like Bush I guess but its not working. |
