Well, I thought we were going to get direct deposit way early since we got our refund direct deposited, BUT since we used a online tax service, we were not eligible (No one ever told us that so we were waiting and waiting). THEN we find out that we have to get ours by check since we used a service AND it was going to be $600 LESS than what we had expected. So we've been waiting and waiting since my hubby's last two Social Security are high. We are in the very last group to be sent out.
I finally got the IRS letter stating when I will be getting our Stimulus Check! Now, how long is it between getting the letter and getting the check? And has anyone actually received it by the date they say if its a check and not a direct deposit?
We are in Ohio if that helps.

Isn't "FREE MONEY" so frustrating and the problems it has caused. I am sure IRS will never do this again, because IRS received too many calls from rude, ungrateful taxpayers, because the rebates didn't arrive on time or have arrived. |

The final checks will be mailed on friday 7/11. You can expect your check around the following Monday. My spouse was in the group for 7/4 and we got ours the following Monday. |

In PA, I got my letter at the beginning of last week, and got my check yesterday - was in the next to last group.
Your tax preparer should have explained the amounts to you so you wouldn't have been expecting the maximum amount if you didn't qualify for it. Since the law wan't passed until the tax season had started though, if you filed very early the info might not have been available yet. |

My stimulus was deposited into my account a few days before I got the letter saying I would be getting a stimulus.
Also, I used Turbotax online to e-file and my stimulus direct deposited. |

I got mine about 2 weeks after. Check on IRS.gov, look at your social security number (the last 4) and that will determine your date! |

I got a letter stating that I would be getting one in May. All checks should have been received by the end of June. I have already gotten mine, I live in IL though. So there may be a couple of weeks difference. I'd say wait a month and if it doesn't come in complain. |
