Call up Human Resources or the Payroll Department and ask about this. They are required to change it. |

contact your payroll person directly and sign the form in their presence and turn it in. if they are still refusing to switch your withholding then contact the irs or state department of revenue and ask them what you should do. this will act as a heads up for them as well and they will probably send the company a letter and make a phone call to find out why they are not withholding like they should be. |

Print out a W-4, fill it out & give it to your Human Resource Representative. He/She will then make the necessary changes.

i changed mine, the way i did it was my employer had a form that i filled out and then they changed it. Have you asked your employer for the forms that you filled out or did you get the forms from somewhre else? |

You need to contact your Human Resources department, they are required to take out Federal taxes. They may not have taken out enough, and you would have to pay extra at the end of the year. If you are already claiming single and 0, you can also make an additional payment into your taxes. There is a block for it on the form. When I had a side business of my own, I had my employer take out an additional amount each paycheck and it ended up covering my self employment income taxes. |

The Fed payroll deduction is based on the size of your check. If you make a small amount they may not take any out. This is YOUR responsibility. You can have actual $$ withheld on each check if you request it. They are responsible for following your dictates on the W-4. |

You need to change it with your company. The company is the one that calculates it, and sends the appropriate tax withholding, depending on the number exemptions you want, to the IRS. |
