You cannot get a copy from irs.gov. What you can do is get a transcript. See the link below for ordering details. You do not pay for a transcript, but you do have to pay for an exact copy.
If you used a professional preparer last year, they should supply you with a copy. If you used an online service, you may be lucky enough to be able to access it, but do not bank on it.

If you go back to where you got them done that year they might be able to give you a copy. You can also go to IRS.com and get a copy. They charge a fee though and I don't know what it is.

call the place where you had your taxes done. Mine get done at Jackson Hewitt and they keep copies of them.

If you had your return done by a professional they usually keep a copy on file. If not you may need to contact the Internal Revenue Service. Sorry I can't think of any thing else you could do.
