Well, unless you're very, very rich. Then your money will be taxed when it gets to your heirs.
P.S. I hope you don't and have never used any services such as welfare, public education, public transportation, flown on airports subsidized by the government, applied for federal financial aid, etc. Those are ALL funded by tax dollars. |

Only if you change citizenship;then you would have to pay tax in your new country.Taxes pay for all the things everybody uses,like the street you drive on,the water you swim in,and the books at the library.If you don't pay them,everybody else suffers for it.Of course,if you live below poverty level and have no income or property,then you would not pay tax.You wouldn't have much of a life either.It was an old radio show gag in the 1940's when taxes were raised to pay for the war. |

Seriously, though. You can file a w-4 with a high number of exemptions to stop paying through payroll, and as long as you earn less than $8750 as a single person with no kids, you won't pay anything in federal taxes, and you won't HAVE to.
I can't help you though, where state, local, or sales taxes are concerned. There are states that charge no state tax...including Alaska, Texas, and Florida...but I'm not sure of all of them. Around 8 to 10 of them. |

You can become a United Citizen of your state. There is a tax law that prohibits a person who is a citizen of their state to not vote, collect Social Security and all benefits except for what state he/she lives in. I know a friend who did this. Never paid a penny up until the day he died. But no one also gave his widow the benefits at all. |
