Looks like you have breached the 2 year rule for temporary workplaces and you can no longer claim travel expenses against your income.
Only way to combat this is to get a new contract at a different location! |

You could set yourself up as a limited company. You don't pay any tax up front and you will be able to reclaim any expenses you incur that mean you can undertake your work, but you will have quite a large tax bill at the end of the year which you will be required to settle. Remember to register yourself as VAT registered if billing more than £65k per year and the work you undertake is vatable.
That is, of course, if your employer will allow you to do it this way. |
