How can i discipline myself how to save?
i really wanted to save but i am always tempted to buy something for myself..

Been There~Done That!
Well, you are already half way there. You recognize the fact that you need to. Apparently you have already experienced not having it so your thoughts went to fixing the problem.

You have to be the one to want to save. Condition yourself and realize that you don't need everything you buy. Take a look around your home or apartment and make a list of everything in every room that you have bought that you don't need or have not used.
Add to that list every time you buy something you don't need. Keep the list with you all the time. Pretty soon you will realize that the growing list is a sign of negative spending.

Now make a list of the things you want to save for. Things that wil benefit you in your life. The future!

In my opinion, it's "out of sight, out of mind". If you set it up so that part of your paycheck is automatically taken out and put somewhere that it's not easy to access (for me, it was a 401k, but for you, it might be a mutual fund or online bank account), you won't even have to think twice about saving--literally! The money never lands in your bank account, so you're never tempted to spend it.

Try it! I saved over three thousand dollars this way!

Do not use credit cards and set up a direct deposit program from your employer into some form of savings account. Limit your spending to what is left over. Prepare a budget and stick to it.

I saved $30,000 in two years by putting the first $700 of each paycheck into a credit union account and the balance of the check into my regular checking account at a different bank.
We lived off of my remaining paycheck by using transit for commuting, taking cheap vacations (going to the in-laws), and making a budget. The few times we had to borrow from the savings account were rare and emergencies.
We also took out $100 from the checking account each in cash every 2 weeks for walking around money - to buy lunch, smokes, little purchases. If the money isn't in your pocket, you can't spend it. Put your charge cards and Visa/Master Card away for a rainy day.
Happy saving; it's a joy to open that credit union statement every month and see it grow by leaps and bounds. Good luck!

direct deposit to your saving account.

Open up a savings account.Sock away a few dollars every pay-day.Keep putting away the money, and after a while you'll see how quickly it adds up.You'll even get a little thrill every month when you see your interest payment.
Just keep putting as much as you can afford into your account. Before long you might finding yourself being "stingy".Don't feel guilty though. It feels real nice knowing that you have a stash that could bail you out of a tight spot!
Try emigrantdirect.com
They're an online bank, but they pay a GREAT interest rate!
Try visiting MSN.com's Money page too. They have all kinds of articles that'll SCARE ya into saving!

Are you and adult? If so try: Opening up a savings account and drop your checking account. When bill time comes around, only draw out enough to pay your bills. You will see your savings grow through interest and realize the value of saving.

If your still living at home with no responsibilities of your own. Then open up that savings account if you're old enough to do this on your own. If not than have your parents open one for you. Then decide on how much you would like for spending money once a week. For example... $10.00 a week. Stick to that $10.00 and no more than that. Do this for about 3 months and you will see how much you have saved along with interest. You will be amazed.

save for yourself to prove how strong you are and have a written plan

Use direct deposit and put the money into a 1 yr CD so you can't get to it - also, cut up all but 1 of your credit cards - they make it way to easy to spend money you don't have. The one card you keep, lower the limit to $500 or $1000.
