Wait until January. When you get something in the mail from your employer called a W-2, take it to the nearest H&R Block or other tax prep office.

If you were working as an employee, you should get a form at the end of the year called a W-2, with all the info you'll need - you won't need your pay stubs. You'd use a 1040, 1040A or 1040EZ form to file your taxes - you can download those at irs.gov or file online. If you don't file and have a refund coming, you won't get your refund. If you owe and don't file, the IRS will send you a bill for what you owe, plus interest and penalties.

Depending on how much you made and a few other things, you might or might not be required to file.

You can always request your w2's from your employer. They keep copies. You can also get the forms to do your taxes from the irs and state taxes website.

If ur in california the website for state is and for the irs is
www.ftb.gov
www.irs.gov

Hey, you'll get your W-2 from your place or places you have worked this year around the end of January. I go to turbotax.com to do my taxes, its easy and free. (unless you choose to purchase extra things to get done) It gives you step by step directions on where to put what (very very easy). And you can choose direct deposit or get your refund by check. I like direct deposit because you will get your money within a couple of weeks, check by mail will usually come in April. Hope this helps!

Wait until you get a W-2 in the mail from your employer then take it to someone to do for you like H & R block. That or buy a software program that walks you through the process.

First off, there is a whole lot of details that you need to consider.
If you are 18 or over and don't live with your parents you have to file taxes. The tax papers can be found at irs.gov or you can use a site like turbotax.com to prepare your return for a fee. If you are paid in cash, or don't have taxes taken out of your check, you need to keep up with how much you make a month so that you can file. Usually in that case your employer will give you a Misc. 1099. However, if you have taxes taken out, they will give you a W2 in Jan. and you won't have to worry about anything else but that form.

You'll get forms in the mail towards the beginning of the year. When you get them, go to the IRS website (irs.gov) and download or print out form 1040EZ. Read the directions for wages (and interest if you receive a 1099-INT from your bank) and fill it out. It's very simple. I doubt you have any deductions you can itemize if you've never filed a tax return before, so you'll take the standard deduction. The forms aren't as confusing as people make out, so don't worry about it too much. Just work through it. Then you send it in to the IRS and you're all done- you might even get money back! :0)

Depending on what state you live in, the limit of how much you earn is the point where you would have to file taxes. In California that number is $600. If you earn more than that you have to file. Of course there are many other things that can be taxed other than your income, such as inheritance. First, figure out what the limit where you live is. Then, go to this website: http://www.irs.gov/ Most people will use the simple 1040-EZ to file taxes come April 15 and before. Fill that out when you get paperwork from where you work and whatnot. They will have to send it to you before you do your taxes. Then just follow the instructions. If you need help, you can always hire a tax-person to do your taxes for you. I didn't pay taxes with my paychecks so I will have to later. Everyone pays taxes. Good luck!

aquisoy3
yes you have to . go to jackson hewitt or any one of those places .Or the irs will get you
