Apar | How do I get the extra $1200 (for a couple) with the tax returns? |
|

If you file your 2007 Federal Income Tax and are eligible to receive a refund, the IRS will send it to you automatically.
If you file jointly, you would be eligible to receive a rebate of up to $1200 if you paid that much in Federal Income Tax. If you only paid $750 in taxes (less than the $600 rebate limit), you only get back $750. If you had earned income or social security of at least $3000, you would get at least the minimum rebate of $300 each. If you qualify for a rebate, you will receive $300 for each dependent child under 17.
Use the Kiplinger rebate tax calculator (link below) to compute your rebate. |

You file jointly as a couple. .....that's it. |

Have to file your 2007 first. It is required before you get the extra return. |

File your tax return. Also, make sure you didn't make too much money. |

Just file a tax return for 2007. If you are eligible, it will be sent to you. It isn't necessarily $1200 per couple though - that's the maximum, and you only get that much if you paid at least that much in federal income tax for 2007. |

Re-do your 2007 taxes as a married couple/person -- I don't know HOW you can do it.....but hey, why not??? The ONLY little glitch in this is you'll get caught. |

I'm a tax preparer and the only thing you can do to get more money is to add more deductions such as church gifts, money send homecountry medicine, etc... of course if IRS comes back to you on this you must have proof hope this will help!!!! |

First you have to be married and fill Jointly, You must make over $3,000 dollars, and most important you must file a return for 2007 wheather you owe taxes or not....The rebates will be determined from your 2007 return.........If you are retired on Social security, you still get the rebate ONLY if you file a 2007 Return,....XXX |
