How do i file taxes and when is the deadline?
what is the easiest way, does it cost? i havent had any income this year so i dont need to fill too many forms, thanks

Richard M
The deadline is April 15.

Try doing them yourself and saving the money. If your adjusted gross income was $54,000 or less in 2007, you can use Free File to prepare and e-file your taxes online.

Go to the IRS homepage and click on "Use Free File to Prepare Your Taxes".

If you had zero income then you do not need to file.

Wow, these these "I have no income" questions are bringing answers out of the woodwork this afternoon. :)

There is absolutely no reason to file if you had no income. You do not qualify for the tax stimulus rebate if you had no income (must have a minimum of $3000 to qualify). However, if you did have Social Security benefits, you should file, because then you may qualify for the tax rebate.

the dead line for filing is Apr. 15th. there are on line services that are either cheap or free so you don't have to do much

Buy Turbo Tax.the regular edition. Its very easy to follow, and only costs about $44

Chasity
You can do it for free on Turbo tax

It's called an Income Tax filing. If you have NO income, you have nothing to file. If you don't file, NO rebate. Tax due day is April 15 Every year.
1040EZ is easiest form to file.

Joel R
Go to the post office and get a tax form. Then mail it in by April 15th.

turbotax.com easy cheep simple. There's a free one on there for -ppl with no kids and extra baggage. And I think April 15th.

Danny
Get the 1040 EZ form. Follow the instructions - they are very easy. If you do this there is no fee. File before April 15. If it is post marked after this date you will get a penalty.

Turbo Tax is awesome and filing your Federal is free, to file your State taxes though I think you get charged like 29.99. But it's SO easy and hard to mess up. And the magic day is April 15th.

Stop Crime
If you made a minimum of 3000 dollars you are required by law to report taxes.

there are diffrent forms for yout type of case
i would just go to a tax agency and tell them how much you made and they will take it from there.

usually they give you copies where you worked
w2 1099 1099misc etc etc
