You do need W2's from each employer, they should have given you them by Jan 31s. Go to the irs website to either print out the necessary form u need or to Efile online.
Also if your looking to Efile online avoid scam sites, like Expresstaxrefund.com which charge obsurd amounts of money that are taken directly form you Tax refund..

Get Turbo Tax. You can even do it online at turbotax.com.

Try turbotax.com. Or just go to IRS.gov and get the tax form.

I use Turbotax.

since you are new, do not attempt on your own, but dont go to H&R block either. You are paying big bucks for the name. Check your local newspaper classifieds.

Singles don't get the MOST out of it.
How computer literate are you? Can you read questions carefully and answer them carefully and correctly?
Try the calculators at irs.gov or Jackson Hewitt websites. Your parents can claim you if you lived at home or they supported you. Then you file a return noting that your dependency exemption has already been claimed.
Alll you'll get is some or all of the Federal withholding back.

Yes, you need both W2s and you will need to know if someone else can claim you and if you have any dependents. Your return should be simply and you can use something like taxcut. Just anwer the questions they ask and it will be easy.

See if you can work it out yourself using Form 1040-EZ. Follow the instructions carefuly and do a draft in pencil. I have done my own since I was 18.

mishkin
you should have 2 w2's

go to www.irs.gov on their website they have links to websites that allow people to file for free (generally if your income is low enough, and it probably is)

if your parents claimed you as a dependant then you cannot claim a personal exemption (so if you live with your parents you are basically a dependant)

it is unlikely that you can itemize so you will file for a standard deduction, if you try to itemize remember that you are much more likely to get audited

file your taxes by April 15

most likely you will get a refund of some of your taxes, on some state's websites they allow you to flie for free as well so check that out (you still have to file taxes for federal purposes though)

good luck!

turbotax.com. Given your circumstances it should be free.
