'dd' is the date. You must enter two digits, so the first of a month would be '01', the 28th would be '28'
'mm' is a number that represents the month. Again you have to enter two digits, so January would be '01' and November would be '11'
'yyyy' is the year. You have to enter four digits, so '1966', for example,
then just put them all together, as folk above have already demonstrated.
It would be rejected for a number of reasons, including:
- the whole entry NOT being 8 digits long
- the number for 'mm' being greater than '12' (because December is month number 12 and, thus, the highest value for 'mm' is '12'.
- the number for 'dd' being greater than '31' or not, otherwise, being valid, depending on the 'mm' and 'yyyy' values (so if 'mm' is '11' for November, the 'dd' value can't be greater than '30', because there are only 30 days in November, for example) |
