Near impossible now that most traffic Police have instant number plate recognition on board their vehicles which instantly flags up vehicles that have none. There are also many fixed npr cameras about now like the city of London for one |

hard now as they have computer records so the old photo copy one is no good as they read your number plate and check with dvla to see if you coughed up. Best get somone elses number plate who has paid and then photo copy disc.
That or pretend to be foreign and watch them fawn over you and probably buy you a new car too boot. |

In the UK, many cameras are able to recognise untaxed vehicles and the prosecution is rigorous. All manner of parking wardens etc also will reprt an untaxed vehicle. Better to pay up your tax- the fines are punitive. Big Brother lives, my friend. Sad but true. |

Less so than it used to be. However, the fact is if you have no tax you have no insurance so if you kill / injure somebody you could be paying for the rest of your life. |

Well, I think you have your answers, I was going to say, it is as easy as falling off a log, until it is spotted by the authorities, then look-out, they can make life very difficult for you, if you want to try and play that game, the angle is, what else are you neglecting with your car? |

Very. The trick is to not EVER pay it. Once they have you on the list, it's easier to keep track of you. It's a bit like the TV license. |

Is it not included in gas prices as with the U.S.? cause then you could just bike, and not buy gas. if you drive a car it is a responsibility to pay, and I don't believe in a lot of taxes(income, property, etc) , but road ones are reasonable. |
