now_follow | How long do you need to work with an employer to be able to take paid leave? |
in uk |

It's in your contract, or should be. If it isn't, the usual assumption is that leave accrues at a fixed rate through the year - ie if you get 12 days' leave that's one day per month. You probably won't be able to take it in your probationary period but should be able to take it immediately afterwards. Check with your contract and HR dept. |

Hi, it should state in your contract but as a rule after you have completed yor first weeks work most companies will allow you to take paid leave but if you leave before that entitlement is reached then they can deduct balance of final pay, most companies allow 2.25 days per month towards annual leave entitlement of 27 days inc public holidays, but check with your boss. |

Under nearly all circumstances, you're legally entitled to accrue holiday entitlement as soon as your employment commences. In terms of when you're allowed to begin to take the actual leave depends entirely on company policy. If you're about to start a new position and you know that you require leave soon after commencing the job then it's worth telling the new employer this - in most cases they'll probably be accomodating.

ACAS are the people in the know. Good point of contact in these circumstances. |

its roughly 1 1/2 days for every month you work, check your contract if you have one but i would ring up citizens advice and they will be able to tell you exactly what you're entitled to |

13 weeks, that will give you a weeks holiday leave.
Check your contract of employment, it should state it on there |
