the earliest you'll get a refund is 01/30/2009.it takes 8-14 days for direct deposit no later than 02/01/2009 even though refunds usually come on fridays.it'll most likely get accepted on the 17th or 18th of january.

kathykoul
Your efile will transmit on the 16th and the IRS will accept or reject your return in 24 - 48 hours. You will probably not get acceptance on the 16th.

The times that I have efiled, I have gotten verification that it is accepted within 72 hours and the money deposited within 2 weeks. I would not depend on it until it actually hits.

It's usually within 48 hours, however they are not accepting anything right now and won't start until the 16th. Anything submitted right now must be queued on the e-filing firms' systems until then when they will be transmitted to the IRS and then accepted within 48 hours of THAT time. As a result, the IRS is projecting the first Direct Deposit refunds to be released on the 30th, not the 23rd.

Usually within 24-48 hours.

AS you should know by now, The IRS will not accept any returns until the 16th. If you pay for a advance the you can have up to 2400 by the 19th or 20th.

typically it is 48 hours to accept a return. Keep in mind if they do not then your state wont be accepted either most of the time. they have there dats set up. you wont get it until the 30th . Their list is accurate.
