How long does it take to get stimulus payments by mail to adrian mi. Bcuz I used Turbo tax it will b mailed.?

Additional Details
I called the irs and because Turbo tax uses a third party the gov't refused to pay the charges they require. So they will be mailing checks to those people even though my original taxes were DD. I am just curious how long the mail will take.

It's not Turbo Tax...it could be any other company, but it's how you had your refund handled. If you allowed TT take your fee out of your refund and the balance was DD to you, it was done so through a 3rd party. Therefore you will get a paper check. If you paid up front for the fees, you will get a DD.

Best friend used TT, and paid for her fees up front...she got her rebate May 2 as scheduled.

For more info contact IRS at 1-800-829-1040, press 2 and 3 for a live agent.

All she is asking is how long will it take to go thru the mail...
2-3 days roughly..

You guys need to learn how to read.........

Okay, here it is...
Even though you used TT - as did I - If you paid for the fee upfront using your bank info or a credit card, whichever...it will be direct deposited if thats how you opted to have your tax refund. If you had TT take the fees out of your tax refund, even though you had it direct deposited, you will still be mailed a paper check.
The way it works is that SBB&T sent their banking info to the IRS. The IRS sent your refund to their bank info and at that time they took out the fee's and sent it to your bank. So the IRS does not have a record of your bank info. Using a 3rd party like this stinks in our cases when we filed in JANUARY when we knew NOTHING about the stimulus.
But, in other words, you're still going to get the stimulus rebate, just in check form. Because it is still considered a RAL (refund anticipation loan) If you used TT and let them take the fees out of your tax refund...and all RALs will be mailed in check form.
I'd give it a couple of weeks from when your rebate is suppose to be mailed to you for you to recieve it.
Unfortunatley, I will be waiting amung the rest of you, as well =)

Your description of why your check will be mailed is more than a little off! For the fees to be taken out, your refund was sent by the IRS to the preparer, then they took out your fees and deposited the rest to your account. The IRS had THEIR account info, not yours, so can't very well deposit your rebate to your account when they don't know what it is. So you'll get a paper check in the mail. It has nothing to do with the government refusing to pay fees to the preparer - where in the world did you get that one?

Mail usually takes a few days to get from city to city.

Edit, with your additional info: either you misunderstood what the IRS lady told you, or she had had a VERY long day answering your same question 200 times, and decided to have some fun and just make something up.

so if you did TT with the fees deducted and are due a paper check, go by the irs website for when it will be mailed? or is there a different date for all of us who TT with fees deducted? sorry, but this has become almost comical. the gov't spends x amount of dollars to mail you a note that you're getting a rebate, another one to tell you how much and when, and then a paper check? how much money does all that cost? instead of all this, why not just send paper checks to everyone and avoid all this confusion? without saying a word? oh yeah, i forgot who we were dealing with. my bad.

Look it up. NOt enough info provided. IF you used Turbotax and had DD, then it will be DD'd, not mailed. If your refund was mailed, so will your rebate be.
