ajajanicki | How many holidays am I entitled per year in the UK? |
Additional Details and does one week of holiday means 5 or 7 days?

Other answerers are almost there!
The statutory allowance in the Uk from 1 October is 24 days a year, including bank holidays. These would be working days, so if you worked 6 days a week, you would need to take 6 days leave in roder to get a week off.
Some employers offer more, but this is the minimum |

4 weeks plus bank holidays.(unless your job is such that you are classed as self employed, eg builder) |

That would really depend on your company's policy.
Normally it would be the statutory 8 bank holidays and most companies have 21days hol (4 weeks off work.)
If you have to work on Bank Hols, they have to offer you TOIL (time off in lieu - meaning a day off because you had to work,) or their policy may be either time and a half (1&1/2 times your hourly rate for how long you work) or if you are lucky enough, double-bubble (twice your hourly rate).
Hope that helps! |

You are entitled to 4 times your normal working week
so
if you work 5 days per week you get 20 days holiday
if you work one day per week you get 4 days holiday |

Hi
You are entitled to 4 weeks a year, This Includes the 8 days we have for bank holidays, and a working week is 5 days of 8 hours, this could be over 7 days but must be set-out in your Contract of Employment that you must be given 12 weeks after starting work. do not listen to Lemon, or To Melvy D thy do not know what thy talk about |
