How many of you know that Americans don't have to fial a 1040? It's unconstitutional.?
It's true. If it's the first time you've heard of this, look it up. If you've already heard of it, look it up some more.

For the first few of few who commented, you fools have no clue what your rights are. Well, I'll give you SOME credit. At least you're blatantly being cowards and not making excuses for why you can't take action again oppression.

I've heard it before. For decades. It's just as much a lie now as it was the first time I heard it. A wise man once told me this: "It is better to be thought of a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt." Best you close your mouth now. Several million Americans now know you're a fool but maybe you can limit the damage if you're lucky.

P.S. You can't even spell. Why should I take YOUR word for something??

Oh, God. Don't start this tired old thread again.

Good luck with that. Let us know how you're enjoying your time in prison.

Better read the Constitution again, the 16th amendment gives the Government the right to collect taxes on whatever source they come from, except those exempt as Congress decides.

As the old saying goes, "Never waste your time arguing with a idiot."

jonas_grant
As this - http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-drop/n-06-31.pdf - explains, you are wrong. Basically, you or whoever you are listening to is taking the word 'voluntary', as in we have a voluntary tax system, and replacing it with 'optional'. Taxes are reported and paid voluntarily under our system, until they aren't, then you're in trouble. They're not optional.

If you want to live in a tax free place, move to Monaco (if you can afford it).

If you want to pay less tax, vote GOP next time.

All I have to say is:
Death and taxes... you know the rest

Hey maybe you will be the first one who gets away with it. All tax protesters who do not pay or file their taxes will deal with the IRS sooner or later. So please let us all know how well you do with this type of nonsense.

yeah - YOU go ahead and don't file a return for as many years as you like and see how long it takes for the IRS to track you down

Have you read about the guy in New Hampshire, in his million dollar house. He was spouting the same rhetoric for months.
He was surrounded by U.S. Marshall's for months. Him and his wife are now doing 6 years in federal custody, some where in Illinois.

I refuse to take tax advise from someone who cannot use a spell checker. Collecting taxes is not unconstitutional and if you refuse to pay, you will go to jail.

And by the way, what is your source? A Cracker Jack box?

Well, the IRS is still able to freeze your bank accounts and put liens on what you own.

And did you also know that the earth really is flat? Don't believe those silly rumors started by Columbus, and supposedly proven by photos from outer space. Those photos were planted in the media by little green men from Mars, that landed here in a flying saucer.

U.S. Constitution, Article 1, Section 8:

"The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts and excises, to pay the debts and provide for the common defense and general welfare of the United States."

U.S. Constitution, 16th Amendment:

"The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration."
