private tenant in S/East. As retired and disabled etc., I am covered. My son has to pay but because no proper room for me and equip etc., he gets a smallish reduction, At one time he was paying £80 pcm but he may have had some arrears so I am not sure. But a little research shows that in Suffolk it's about £1,341.70.per annum for a Band D property.Barrow in Furness in Lancs is about £80 pcm
The amounts increase as you come down to the southern (Home counties and London), then in parts of the West Country they go low again.
It seems to be a bit of a mess as the rates can vary from one borough to another so it really is anybodies guess.
Sorry couldn't be more helpful - hope it isn't a whopper when you get the bill.

oh my god i live in the wrong part of england!
i pay £139 per month live in a two bed semi live in southwest uk we are on a low income and were only offered £1.28 a week in help! so havent bothered... council tax should be abolished or at least cut! in my area i havent seen anything worth while being spent,we have a stupid little police station tht is never open,we have to use the yellow phone on the side of the building tht phones through to the next town!!!!! |
