Oh give me a break.
Your income is too low to owe taxes. You will get anything withheld for federal income tax back. You do not get anything more even if you can claim your girlfriend.
Wayne Z
At only $7500, you will get all of your federal withholding back.
As such, adding your girlfriend as you dependent (if she qualifies) would not even add $1 to your refund as there is nothing more to refund.

You'll get nothing extra if you claim your gf. If you yourself were a dependent, then you can't claim a dependent. If you weren't, then you already owe no income tax without claiming her, so will get back whatever was withheld for federal income tax - you wouldn't get anything additional for claiming her.
You will not in any case get back anything withheld for social security or medicare.
You'll file as single, assuming that you are not married.
MadMan
You cannot claim her as you are not related. You would have needed to have been married.
AB
You can claim her as a qualifying relative as long as she made less than $3,500 in the year, lived with you all year, and you provided more than 50% of her support. You will most likely get back a majority of the federal tax that you paid since you made very little.
Paz
you have no legal ties or obligations to a 'Girlfriend' if it was your wife or child you can claim them as dependants... stop trying to get more then you deserve anyway.

As long as her parents or any other person did not provide for her well being.I claimed my wife before she was my wife, she was living with me and going to school. You will also get more breaks for being a student yourself.Maybe I helped a little, good luck we all need that with taxes.
Glorianne L
you can only claim her if you are supporting her and she is not claimed on any other tax return.
It is a fair amount more
