How much tax and N.I would be taken off a gross wage of £214 p/wk (roughly, if you can't be accurate)?

Additional Details
Thanks Jock

Assuming you are on a tax code of 522L, your tax deduction would be £19.85 and N.I. would be £12.54, leaving you with a take home pay of £181.61.

It is accurate, I just ran it through my Sage Payroll software for you.

Dont know the answer but as others say its about a third... but what i do know is that our so called on our side goverment, " who we voted in" are robbing us blind on a daily basis and for every way you can think of making a penny there is at least a few guys tied up in a wee dark room in downing street thinking about ways they can take it of you.....And hey did you hear that Mr brown wants to lower the min wage here in northern ireland..... At least dick turpin wore a mask when he robbed people !!!!!!!!!!!

You cannot be accurate without tax code and tax basis etc.
Rough estimate would be to take off 1/3rd.

Did you know that Income tax was originally a "temporary measure" to fund the Boer war?

roughly do just under a third deduction and you should be alright

when we work out our wages, we take off 19%, not sure if thats right, but it works for us give or take a quid of 2 x

should be £45ish taken out x

Divide it by four and then times that figure by three.

This is about what you can expect to have left once the thieving government has had its cut.

think you will take home about 175 - 180 depends on your tax code, if you don't have one you might be on emergency tax code, if so they take more tax until its sorted, then they either pay you back or higher your tax code.

Very little, probably about £30 max depending on your tax code. More likely to be less. You can earn well over £100 (cant remember exactly) before you are even taxed, then you are only taxed on the amount over that. So you'd only be taxed on less than £100 of it anyway.

self employed-- single persons tax is 25% after the annual allowance of £6000.00 tax free. The NHI stamp is class 2 £2.20 a week , but depends how much you earn then you pay a percentage on last years earnings.
