How much tax do you pay in the UK if you earn £1200 a month?
thanks :)

speedball88
well it depends on some other aspects of your circumstances, if you check out the hm revenue site at http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/
There is all the information you need on tax there but i think you probable pay around 20% on a salary of 1200.

MaRj
have a look at
http://i-resign.com/uk/financialcentre/tax_calculator.asp
copy and paste this in.

put your annual salary then it tells you what your tax and NI is for a week, month and year.

Timmmmmy!!!!
1200 x 12 = 14400

First £5,500 is free

£8,900 is taxable @ 20% = £1780 per yr

£148 per month + National insurance which your looking at around another £80

There's a great free tax calculator here:
http://www.listentotaxman.com/

You can enter your annual or monthly salary, and it works out what you'll pay in tax, what your net salary will be by year, month & week.

Give it a go.
