Personal allowance £6475 doesn't come into effect until the next tax year. It is now £6035, and after that tax is deducted at 20%.
Look at www.listentotaxman. |

On a salary of £870 per month, assuming normal tax code and consistent salary through the year that is a salary of £10440 p.a. That translates into a takehome of £750.93 a month (£73.42 tax and £45.65 National Insurance are deducted). That assumes a normal tax code, that you have been employed on that salary throughout the tax year, and have no other adjustments or complications to your tax situation. |
