If you provide more than half their support and nobody else can claim them you can get a personal exemption for each of them so if you are in a marginal rate of 15% and exemptions were 3K even you would save $900 on your taxes.
If your divorced the divorce may have given your ex the exemptions and if your parent provide for you and the babies they may claim all three of you so you can't claim anyone.

If you meant "tax money" as in economic stimulous check, it was $300 each in the last stimulous payment system. But we don't know yet another stimulous check is coming as Congress is currently working on the second economic stimulous plan(s).
If you meant "tax money" as your deduction on your tax returns, you can claim 2 babies as your dependents for the Federal and State tax returns, which lower your overall taxes. |

For 2007 the economic stimulus payment would depend on whether you had earned income or not. If you paid a tax you could get back up to $1800.00 , that is assuming you had a tax of at least $1800.00 before withholding.
If you had earned income , you worked, and made at least $3000, or collected social security
you then would only get $900.00

if you did not file, there is a credit for 2008 where you can claim the stimulus payment you did not get as a credit which can be applied to your 2008 liability.

Assuming you are in the US. You get to use them as two exemptions on your tax return. Depending upon how much in tax you pay which places you in various tax brackets your money - in the form of an increase or reduction in what you owe could be from 0 to $1,200 each, which is far less than the cost of raising them I might add. |
