Assuming no benefits or allowances (other than personal allowance) in your tax code - ie a PAYE code of 503L - your monthly gross salary is £4,166.67, tax £978 and NICs £275 - leaving you net monthly take-home pay of £2,913.67.
Any variations in your tax code (benefits like car, PHI etc or deductions like pension contributions) will affect this. |

complicated without knowing your circumstances BUT in the UK , you can expect the take home pay to be about two thirds, and the tax man gets the rest.
This theoretic person probably takes home around 2777 a month, unless he/she has a good accountant and can find some loopholes (like pension contributions) |

Between £ 15k and £20k,depending on your circumstances. Generally £ 50k pr.ann. puts £ 600 a wk in your sky . |

All depends upon your tax free pay allowance to be honest.
As a very broad rule of thumb - just over 1/3 would be about average tax/ni to pay. |
