It depends on many factors: your tax code, previous income in the tax year, etc.
If your tax code is 503L and you have not earned anything yet since April 6 2006, the gross pay would be 2500 but there will be deductions.

Very roughly, you'll get around £2200. After tax and NI you will be left with around £1700-£1800. Tax and NI usually amount to around 30% at this level.
